Isaac Does Toast

We're at a fun stage......encouraging Isaac to play with his food.  Gasp!  I need to remember this when he's older and we're out in public at a restaurant and he decides to pick up a handful of food and throw it.  I won't be able to say...."where did he learn to play with his food"??

Isaac was provided with half of a slice of toast torn into a few pieces for him to handle.  He immediately picked up a piece and began his investigation.  He turned it over a couple of times and scratched the surface to examine the texture.  Then he decided to try smashing it and banging it on his tray.  After the fun wore off or he didn't achieve his desired result he decided to taste it.  No piece was left un-studied.  

Breakfast certainly takes a little longer these days but watching his expressions as he explores the simplest items is pure joy even if it does result in one heck of a mess to clean up!  This morning more toast ended up in his lap than his tummy.
