Carousel

We had a busy day full of errands so we decided to pop into North Point Mall for some lunch and a little fun.  Right away Isaac noticed a melody of music and while looking around the bright colors and fun lights caught his attention.  He spotted the Carousel!

More Cheese Please

Isaac experienced Mac-n-cheese for the first time last night and it was a winner.  There is a fabulous barbecue place down the road, 'Cue, and it's quickly become one of my favorites too.  While we've had take-out from there several times since we moved, last night was the first night to actual experience the restaurant.  It's a great place, fun, friendly and the food is excellent.   Isaac had the bbq chicken slider with mac-n-cheese and obviously there was enough left over for lunch today!

Pool Time and Sunshine

Isaac is doing better and better in the big pool.  He loves to splash the water as long as he doesn't get too much water on his face.  We're able to spend longer amounts of time in the pool and as long as I keep moving he's entertained.  He still doesn't like the water too high up his back and doesn't like to lay back so I either have to keep his hat on so his head doesn't but or keep putting handfuls of water on his head to keep him cooled off.

Oh Boy....Elmo!

Isaac had a playful morning and loves laying on the soft fuzzy nap blanket.  He plops down, rolls around and rubs his hands over the texture and then in a blink he's off in another direction.  He can be such a ham at times.

That's the Way We Roll

The world needs to know that Isaac is officially walking and all he wants to do is walk, walk, and walk some more.  So....we lathered up with sunscreen, made sure little man had his hat on to keep the sun out of his eyes and headed outdoors.

Toys vs Tools

Given the increase in Isaac's toy selection since his birthday he still amazes me at times.  With so many different items to choose from he...at times chooses alternate toys.  Today Isaac chose tools over toys.

On the Road Again.....

We made the trip to Ohio for grandma's funeral and while it's a long trip we made the best of it.  We stayed in Marietta and of course the first line of business upon arriving was dinner.  Where else would we go but straight for a hot ham and cheese sub from Smitty's.  Yum!  Frazer had pizza but I couldn't resist the sub and Mr. Bee potato chips!

The End of an Era

This morning around 3:00 am I received a text message from my dad letting me know Grandma Jane had passed.  As sad as the news was my initial reaction was heart ache for my dad.

Wohoo! No More Formula!

How exciting! Another milestone as we get to transition away from formula and move to whole organic milk. We couldn't be more excited about this transition.  For us it means no more buckets of formula at $35.00 a pop, no more scooping out formula and no more washing small formula containers.  Wohoo!  Isaac however.....was not so excited.

July 4th Celebration

When we moved in a few of the neighbors let us know who to contact to make sure we were added to the neighborhood distribution list.   We were also notified of the neighborhood parade that would take place for the 4th of July! We certainly provided our contact information and in return we received all of the details for the neighborhood's celebration.
