Papa Returns from Oz

Papa left for Australia on February 14th and Isaac gave lots of hugs to Papa before he left.

For a little boy....... eight days seems like eternity. To ease the transition, Papa left an old t-shirt behind in Isaac's crib to cozy up with during naps and bedtime.  Isaac was fine for the first couple of days but as each day passed Isaac's demeanor changed every evening when Papa didn't come home.  There were a couple of days when he was super clingy
and wouldn't leave my side and only wanted to be held.  For this trip phone calls were brief due to the 16 hour time difference and Papa was only able to call on his way in to work in the morning which was around 4:00 pm in the afternoon for us.  When talking to Papa I put the speaker on so Isaac could hear his voice.  Isaac was so puzzled and just gazed at the phone.  Hearing Papa's voice everyday was helpful but it couldn't replace seeing him every day.  Every night I would count down the number of sleeps before Papa returned.

Isaac was wrapping up a nap when Frazer got home.  Little man was sitting up in his crib when we walked in and I've never seen a little boy so happy to see his Papa!  Frazer picked him up and Isaac looked at Papa, squeezed his cheek and pinched his nose then laid his head down and gave Papa hugs.  After a couple seconds he lifted his head back up to look at Papa again and smiled from ear to ear then laid his head back down on Frazer's shoulder for another hug.  He did this several times and I literally had teary eyes it was just so precious.

Papa brought gifts too!  Isaac loved his soft and fuzzy Koala bear all the way from Australia.  After he chewed on it for a bit Isaac went for a ride on Papa's shoulders and then helped Papa unpack.  All was right in Isaac's world now that Papa had returned home.
