Bonding with Grandpa John

With Papa in Australia Isaac and I ventured out for the evening to visit with Grandpa and Grandma Strickling.  Grandpa John was in Atlanta for a conference with the Masonic Lodge so we seized the opportunity to venture into Atlanta.

Since Isaac was in a new space it took him a bit of time to warm up to the different environment.  He had a good time on the floor playing with his toys and then Grandpa John decided to join him.  Well, this of course was intriguing to Isaac.  Isaac is always interested in watches which can keep his attention for an extended period of time if allowed.  He's also extremely interested in eye glasses.  If I'm not careful he'll have grabbed mine and have them off my face in a split second.  I'm growing accustomed to little smudges on the lenses.....

This time something new caught his attention
and he was most interested in Grandpa's hat.

Then Isaac shared his book with Grandpa....

....and demonstrated his crawling skills and climbing abilities.......

.....then grandpa John was worn out.  Afterwards we loaded up and went to Maggiano's for some Italian yummies.

Isaac was a great little boy during dinner.  Even though he was getting tired he stayed in his high chair and was fascinated by the family sitting next to us.  Isaac seems to be developing a habit of attracting the attention of females.  I wasn't aware this developed at such a young age.  :)  This particular table had two little girls that kept waving and smiling at Isaac.  Isaac kept staring and watched them so intently.  When he was tired of that direction and he turned the other way there was another little girl who continued to make funny faces for him, smile and kept waving.  Isaac certainly had entertainment provided for him.  And when people watching wore off it was pass the baby between the grandparents.  Let's just say Isaac was asleep shortly after leaving.  He was fast asleep when I got him home so we skipped bath night...
