Dancing Isaac

Since Isaac had such a great time at Gymboree classes the last time we went back for another class.  It still took him a few minutes or so to warm up to the environment but this time it was much shorter.  Within the first 10 minutes he was ready to explore.

He was more interested in the balance beam than the group activity at the beginning of class.  But what he really, really loved was the music!  Isaac and I dance A LOT at home.  I'll pick him up and we dance around and wiggle to what ever music is playing.  Recently he's started dancing by himself when music is playing at home and if the music comes on and he's holding to the coffee table, then he'll start dancing.  In class, music plays for dancing and you have to freeze when the music stops.  With so many great things to explore in class Isaac didn't want to dance with his mama and that's okay. He was so busy exploring that I wasn't sure if he would dance at all.  But he did!  I was able to capture a small bit.....

He danced...he froze...and then he took off to explore some more but when the music came on again he started dancing again.  I was one happy mama but what's more important is Isaac had a blast!

He loved climbing on the colorful mats and playing with the squishy blocks.

He really surprised me during parachute time. Isaac was on a mission and he wanted to be in the center.  He loves the clown for some reason.  I think it must be all the bright colors.

However, when it was time for the little tykes to get under the parachute and watch it float up and down he wanted noooo part of it!  The last time he was fine.  This time, complete meltdown!  Nothing a few bubbles couldn't fix though. :)
