A home was found for everything and the counter tops were finally free of all packing debris!
All the cabinet locks were installed too which kind of slowed the unpacking process a bit but without them the organizing process would have been very difficult. Every time I attempted to put something into a cabinet Isaac figured it was something new for him to play with. :) So...cabinet safety locks were a definite must!
It nice to see the results of a lot of hard work. The kitchen is finally functional....I guess that means I need to start cooking again....
In the midst of all the unpacking and getting settled it's been absolutely wonderful to find we have terrific neighbors. Within the first couple of days the neighbor across the street brought over some fabulous chocolate chip cookies. After a couple more days the neighbor next to us brought over another plate of homemade cookies. Today, more treats arrived! It's been great meeting the neighbors and everyone has been incredibly friendly and so generous! Looking forward to getting settled....
