Giggles with Grandpa & Comfort Foods

After yesterday's events today was a little bit frustrating.  I had less than 10 contractions all day.  I chatted with some friends and had compiled a great list of things to do to jump start labor.  Frazer even brought home some Eggplant Parmesan for lunch since it's known for having a natural form of Pitocin that induces labor.

Nana and grandpa came over for a visit and brought a bunch of fresh items from the garden.  Isaac had a ball playing with grandpa.  They giggled, tickled and chased each other.  Then grandpa played "this little piggie".  After each round playing with Isaac's little toes, Isaac would respond "more".

They even played hide-n-seek.  Isaac mostly preferred his regular game of tickle.

It was certainly nice to enjoy a low key day with family.  The icing on the cake was a home cooked dinner with favorite comfort foods: roast chicken, fresh tomatoes, cheddar biscuits, fried okra, corn on the cob, and Sue even prepared some roasted egg plant for me.  Who knows, maybe another serving of egg plant will get this labor party started.
