Little man had a great morning. He polished off his bottle in a snap and then devoured his morning yogurt. What's a boy to do with full tummy and lots of energy until nap time? Play of course....
However, with so many toys to choose from.....Isaac opted for an empty container of his Wagon Wheel snacks. From his perspective it was a great option. It fit in his hand, it rattled when he shook it, and made fantastic noises when he banged it on the floor or with his hand!
Since it was a sweltering day out I decided to enjoy a cool Popsicle as an afternoon treat. This immediately caught Isaac's attention so I thought it would only be fair to share my treat with him. His initial reaction was to grab the Popsicle but he wasn't prepared for the cold shock on his fingers. He was very gentle and cautious with his first taste.
After he had his first taste, he decided this was something of interest that he would like to taste more of....just to be sure he liked it. Eventually I discovered the easiest way to share this treat was to pinch of small chunks for him to bite. This of course reduced, or at least attempted to reduce the mess. However, from the picture below (not the greatest pic) if you look closely you'll see the evidence of Isaac's pink stained cheeks!
After he enjoyed his treat and while I was cleaning up the mess. Did I mention I tried to avoid a mess? Well, lets just say it really didn't work as there were lots of melted Popsicle spots on the floor. Anyway, while I was cleaning up Isaac decided to explore and entertain himself.
Perched on the floor...... behind the chair..... in the corner is where I found him. He was full of excitement and giggles. He snatched the box of tissues and finally had them all to himself.
