A busy day...
We started the morning off with story time at the School Place of Roswell. Isaac was much better than last week but towards the end his patience was running thin and he threw a tantrum. Only this time he threw himself down on the floor and banged his head on the floor. While the floor was carpeted he didn't expect the hard surface of concrete underneath compared to the soft padding at home. I felt bad for him that he hurt his head and of course comforted his boo-boo until he finished crying. As with any toddler he doesn't like the word "no".
In the afternoon our new blinds were installed in the front windows. It only took us 8 months to finally select and order blinds for the front of the house. They look great and we finally have some privacy for night time and can block the afternoon sun. Now, we need to make a selection for the windows in the back of the house.
While Isaac napped I was able to knocked a bunch of things of my list today. Our digital picture frame in the family room all of sudden stopped working. The photo application apparently was no longer being supported so I had to reload the photos to a different application. Isaac loves to see pictures of himself and I admit I love seeing all the pictures of him through the last year.
With spring right around the corner it's also time to start planning to fence our yard in along with a host of other projects. Today I was able to place calls to get quotes and line up a property survey so we know where our property line is. Then I lined up a few companies to come out over the next week to get quotes for the fence.
We also have some electrical work so I lined up companies to get quotes for that too. Our front room which we use as an office doesn't have an overhead light so it's really not a functional room in the evening. We want flood lights on the back of the house once the yard is fenced, a couple of outlets added in the basement, a separate switch for the ceiling fan in our sitting room and Frazer wants conduit ran from the attic to the basement so he can run ethernet cables. It's a lengthly list so quotes are definitely in order.
A busy but productive day!
