Great-Grandma Jane Visit Day 2

The day started as soon as alarm clock Isaac woke at 7:00 am sharp.  Of course it was another sleepless night but nothing like a little coffee and breakfast to get the day started courtesy of Auntie Michelle.  Once we were up, dressed, packed and reloaded we hit the road with a short stop to Wal-Mart for some storage containers to preserve all the documents we discovered yesterday.

I set Isaac up in Grandma Jane's living room which made her happy.  She really enjoyed watching him play and she talked to him and waved to him and it made her day when he waved back.  Once Isaac was distracted he actually played rather well in the pack-and-play.  No need to worry though, he wasn't in here all day.  He had lots of people to provide him with individualized attention.  Grandma Sue took him for a walk and then Grandma and Grandpa both took him for a walk.  Don't get me wrong it was a challenge to keep him entertained and off the floor so he couldn't cause any damage.  Grandma Jane has lots of breakable items that are oh so interesting to the little hands of Isaac.

As you can see Isaac has been working on his strength.  I'm sure from his perspective he thought he had been placed in jail, at least that's what Grandpa John called it.  He put in a lot of effort trying to figure out how to scale the wall......

Towards the end of the day as activities were winding down he finally gave up the ghost and passed out.  This was a good thing considering he wasn't sleeping much at night, was only partially napping on the drive over and wasn't napping much during the day.  He was one tired little boy but there was just too much going on.

We left Grandma Jane's around 7:00 pm so I was optimistic about having Isaac in bed by bedtime.  Boy was I wrong.  Somehow he managed to get a hold of Auntie Michelle's Dr. Pepper, which had the lid on, but somehow he pulled it into his crib.  I was packing up his suitcase when I heard a strange fizzing sound.  I turned around and he was standing in his crib and when I looked in the blanket hard a large dark spot and that's when I connected the dots since the soda bottle was under the blanket.  Talk about a mess!  After a massive cleanup and ingenuity to provide him with a dry place to sleep he finally passed out at 10:00 pm.
